PARTY RECAP: Golf Party

Aiden celebrated his 4th birthday with 25 of his friends at a local mini golf place. I created cupcake toppers and wrappers to match the blue and green argyle. I also created matching water bottle wrappers, treat toppers, stickers for cups, centerpiece flags, buffet labels, signs and banners. I had wanted to use powdered Munchkins since they look like golf balls on tees but our Dunkin Donuts only had glazed ones. The goody bags contained Halloween-themed rubber ducks and golf rubber balls, both from Oriental Trading. Super Valentine's Day

Last year I was home on maternity leave during Valentine's Day. I had recently discovered Pinterest and I came across this fantastic idea to make super hero lollipops. The template is still available here - http://zakkalife.blogspot.com/2011/02/its-bird-its-plane-its-super-valentine.html. Inspired by the post, and taking advantage of my son's Halloween pic as Superman, I created this Valentine's card for him to give out to his class. Then I made superhero tootsie pops for his class which were a big hit!

Organizing Challenge Week #1 - Laundry Room

After following her blog for many years, I finally decided to do A Bowl Full of Lemon's 14 week organizing challenge. I have been on an organizing kick since we've been quarantined but I still had a lot of work to do. The first week was a nice way to ease into it - organizing the laundry room. We have a small laundry room upstairs and I didn't think I needed to do much as there's only one shelf. But I quickly realized putting everything in baskets would really make a difference. BEFORE AFTER WHAT I DID: I went through all the stuff on the shelf and moved out anything that didn't belong. There wasn't much - just some green plastic bowls and a pail and shovel (no clue why that was there). I divided what was left into 4 categories and put it in a basket: Laundry - things I use for most loads - liquid fabric softener, dryer sheets, washer cleaner, etc. Backstock - extra detergent, dryer sheets, etc. Hangers - I took all the hangers down and put them in a basket....
